About Us

Lauren Rench, M.Ed., CALT, ADHD-CCSP

Educational Diagnostician

Prior to starting Lakewood Educational Assessments and Diagnostics (LEAD), Lauren taught Kinder through 4th grade across various Texas school districts, including Dallas ISD. She spent the majority of her classroom-teaching career at Lakewood Elementary where she taught 3rd grade. Most recently, she served as the Student Support Team (SST) Chair and Reading Interventionist at Lakewood Elementary. During her time as a classroom teacher and reading interventionist, she routinely witnessed frustrated and desperate parents who believed their child needed intervention and testing for possible learning disorders. Unfortunately, the process to get these concerns addressed at the district level can be confusing and inefficient. In an effort to provide an alternate route for these parents and students, she decided to go back to school to obtain her license as an Educational Diagnostician. She now spends her time providing evaluation and diagnostic services to students suspected of having a learning difference, with the ultimate goal of getting the child the accommodations necessary to maximize their long-term chances of academic success.
